TEF Scholarships for TSD students

Please note: It is not guaranteed that every scholarship will be offered each year. 

Scholarship applications for 2019 will be accepted until midnight on Sunday, March 10, 2019.

Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship
The Berthoud Area Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is for Berthoud High School students who are graduating and making plans for post-secondary education, whether a 4-year, 2-year or certification program.

Bob Ball Track & Field Scholarship
The Bob Ball Track & Field Scholarship is available to Loveland High School seniors who are on the track team. Student must plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college/university.

Erna & Neil Mentzer Music Scholarship
The Erna & Neil Mentzer Music Scholarship is for graduating students who will continue their education in the area of instrumental music study. If qualified instrumental music study applications are not received in a given year, vocal music study applications can be given consideration.

Jabaily Community Service Scholarship
The Jabaily Community Service Scholarship is available to any college-bound senior in good standing whose life activities demonstrate true compassion and service for other human beings, for example: political and environmental activism, concern for civil rights and minorities, support for world peace and respect for the diverse beliefs of others.

Loveland Contractors Vocational/Trade Scholarship
The Loveland Contractors Vocational/Trade Scholarship is available for seniors from Loveland, Colorado, high schools only (Loveland High School, Thompson Valley High School, Ferguson High School and Mountain View High School). The primary criteria for this award is the desire or goal of the student to pursue a career in the construction industry at a vocational or trade school. The term “construction industry” is to have a broad definition; that is, a student who has an interest in welding, auto mechanics, equipment operator, plumbing, construction management, electrical, or other related fields or trades would qualify within the definition.

Loveland Golden K Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship
The Loveland Golden K Kiwanis Foundation Scholarship is for seniors who plan to attend a 2-year community college program or certification program/vocational school. Consideration will be given to students based on their academic and extracurricular activities.

 Loveland Rotary Scholarship
Loveland Rotary Club awards a variety of scholarships.

Loveland Rotary CTE Scholarships
The following are those designated as two-year program scholarships.

  1. Any Career Goal: Students overcoming life or financial challenges.
  2. Trades: Students bound for hands-on trade schools demonstrating interest and potential in field.
  3. Auto Technology: Students bound for auto technology training demonstrating interest and potential in field.
  4. Special Education: Students bound for training as Special Education teachers or therapists.

Loveland Rotary Academic Scholarships
The following are those designated as four-year program scholarships.

  1. Academic Scholarships: Students with financial need who have overcome challenges
  2. David Baily Rotary Scholarship: Students with financial need, a high GPA and displays promise for future academic success

Nick Wiesen Scholarship
The Nick Wiesen Scholarship provides scholarship support for students who have faced the devastating loss of a parent due to death. Financial need will be a secondary consideration.

Opportunity Through Education Scholarship
The Opportunity Through Education Scholarship is for seniors with the drive and ability to take the next step in their education; GPA is not a priority. Available to students attending community college, vocational school, trade school or a certification program. Students enrolling in four-year programs will not be considered. Student must reside within the boundaries of Thompson School District.

RE/MAX Alliance Loveland Office Scholarship
The RE/MAX Alliance Loveland Office Scholarship is available for seniors at high schools in Loveland, Colorado (Loveland High School, Thompson Valley High School, Ferguson High School and Mountain View High School). Consideration will be given to GPA, involvement in extracurricular activities and community service that shows a desire to assist, promote or enhance living in Loveland.

Road Knights Scholarship
The Road Knights Scholarship provides support for students that have an interest in pursuing a career in the automotive industry, which includes any activity within the industry.

Sethre Scholarship
The Sethre Scholarship is for seniors from Loveland High School. The award is based on financial need, extracurricular participation and community involvement. Preference is given to students who are working while attending high school.

Sierra Marie Krizman Memorial Scholarship
The Sierra Marie Krizman Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a senior of any school in Thompson School District who will continue his/her education towards a career in teaching. The student must have received or plan to receive the meningitis vaccination.

Ted & Mabel Thompson Loveland Valentine Scholarship
The Ted and Mabel Thompson Loveland Valentine Scholarship is for students who have shown initiative and potential, but who are not necessarily in the top 15 percent of their class. Financial need is also considered. One scholarship is reserved for Miss Loveland Valentine, for as long as that program continues to exist.

Tim Gibson Memorial Scholarship
The Tim Gibson Memorial Scholarship is a need-based scholarship for seniors from Loveland High School and/or Berthoud High School who plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or vocational school. Strong consideration will be given to candidates who meet the following criteria: participated in high school athletics; shows outstanding character and exhibits a strong work ethic; plans to pursue a career in one of the following areas: veterinary studies, aviation, automotive, agriculture or forestry.
